JENPOXY

JENPOXY  is a epoxy resin base silica filled three  component system. It consists of Jenpoxy powder, Jenpoxy resin and Jenpoxy  hardener. The advantage of this product is its versatility in terms of its strength, chemical resistance and self life. The above three components when mixed in the proper mixing ratio, forms a butter like cement mortar which is used  to fix ceramic / carbon tile / bricks for protective lining and flooring applications.

Use

Brick / tile based on Jenpoxy  is recommended for severe corrosive conditions as in reaction vessels, storage tanks, neutralization pits, drains, floors and other areas.

Jenpoxy is used in different industries  like  steel, dyestuff, Metal finishing, Thermal Power Plants, Fertilizers, Petrochemicals, Food processing, Beverages, Breweries, Dairies, Food industries, Textile industries, Sugar industries, Pharmaceuticals etc.

For severe corrosive  conditions Jenpoxy  is major used for flooring and some severe conditions for tile / bricks Jointing mortar.

Directions for Use

This is a Acid, Alkali Proof Cement Mortar based on Epoxy resin and has got outstanding corrosion resistance  and  very high mechanical strength along with excellent adhesive properties to almost all surface.

It is a three component system

Jenpoxy  Resin

:

Jenpoxy  Hardener

Jenpoxy Powder

:

300 to 500 parts

It gives a very smooth Travel on mortar and gives very strong, Crack-proof surface and hence is used for Monolithic floors & plasters.

Jenpoxy polymer Grout takes more quantity of powder filler of special aggregates.

It is inert to non oxidizing Acids, Alkalies and Salts used in Chemical process plants. The resistance to solvents is slightly  poor and hence its use demands discretion.

Epoxy mortar compositions are modified by selection of various fillers to meet the correct resistance power.

A modification with coal tar pitch gives  extraordinary ductility and  improved resistance to alkaline conditions, Chlorine and oxidizing  environment. Thus hardness and brittleness of epoxy is lessened and ductility and impact resistance is increased by use of epoxy coal tar cement compositions.

Chemical Resistance

Jenpoxy is inert to non oxidizing acids like sulfuric acid, Hydrochloric acid, acetic acid, Phosphoric acid, nitric  acid, lactic acid etc., Alkalies like Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Potassium Hydroxide etc., and salts and many other solvents. It is also resist temperature (max) 100°c.

Packing

Jenpoxy  Resin : 40 Kg drum
Jenpoxy  Hardener : 20  Kg drum
Jenpoxy  Powder : 50  Kg bag

Transportation

During transport, containers must be protected from contact with water and should not be exposed directly to sunlight. resin and hardener shall always be kept apart to avoid exothermic reaction between two.

Storage & Shelf Life

Jenpoxy  powder, resin and hardener should  be kept in a cool and dry place in tightly closed condition, away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight. For safety reasons always ensure that Jenpoxy resin and hardener  are stored away from each other.

Shelf life

: Shelf life at 20 Deg. C at  ambient temp.
Powder 12 Months 12 Months
Resin 12 Months 12 Months
Hardener 12 Months 12 Months

In case if the ambient temp. is more than 30-35 Deg. C. the shelf life of the above materials will get  reduced  accordingly.

Introduction

Jenpoxy  is a thermosetting resinous coating  compound  with epoxy  base. It is specially formulated to give long lasting service.

Properties

Amide hardener cures Jenpoxy to a hard, durable glossy film. Jenpoxy adheres excellently  to cast iron, mild steel, stainless steel, wood, plastic, concrete and other  surfaces (Not to copper). Jenpoxy has excellent resistance  most chemicals such as acids, alkalies, oils, greases, solvents etc. Jenpoxy does not soften up to 200 °F temperature.

Mixing

Stir the original container of Jenpoxy Mix four parts of Jenpoxy compound and one part of hardener. Intensive mixing is required. Working time of mixture is 30 minutes, so use mix mass only in 30 minutes.

Jenpoxy is suitable for brush  application. It can be brushed  to give 0.5 mm. thick film per hand. Two good hands are required for competed  covering the surface. It is allowed  to dry for 8  hours before 8 hours, non tacky film is formed. After 7 days the treated surface is placed in service.

Observe the Following

The coating compound is kept  away from fire or flame
Do not breath vapors of the hardener or a mixture.

Avoid  contact with skin, in case of contact,  wash the affected part with plenty of water.

Do not thin the coating compound with thinner without our instruction.

How to Apply

The surface is to be cleaned as if you were to use for coating.  All the dirt. greases,  oil or rust to be chemically cleaned. The surface is contact with acid r alkalies are washed with water and dried.

The  Primer is not required to wood, glass or concrete surface. In  case & metals, epoxy red oxide  primer coat can be applied.

Users

Chemical plants, pharmaceutical food & alled inds. Textile Mills, Electroplating, Pickling firms, Dairy & Fertilizers plants.
